Welcome to In-Formatio…
I have been blogging for about 14 years on various topics. Everything from golf and leisure, to computers and gardening. Whatever interested me at the time was worthy of a blog or a newspaper column. Let’s just say that I have never been bored.
As one of my old professors told me years ago, “You may suffer a bit with your unfocused life, but from it will come lots of entertainment.” He was right.
It has taken me quite a few years to come to the realization that, like it or not, this is who I am. I am a person with an unquenchable curiosity. I am a lifetime student that is as comfortable in a library as in an outdoor field study. I have spent much of my life working in churches as a person of faith, and I respect the faiths of others. I have had deep encounters with and have learned from Jewish rabbis, Buddhist priests, and Muslim imams, and I will continue to learn.
I used to worry that my eccentricities were a hindrance to my career and kept me from being all that I could be. I can certainly point to choices that I have made that did not lead to wealth or status. But I have become much more than I ever dreamed by listening to the muses and taking the roads less traveled.
I have realized that I am a person in the process of formation. Becoming what I was created to be and being transformed into something that looks more like the Creator than something I have created.
In-Formatio is an attempt to bring my multi-faceted life together in one place.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to join me on the way…
